Improve Your Sleep-10 Simple Steps

Hectic work schedules, lack of downtime and the change in seasons can make anyone feel more stressed than usual. Sleep deprivation has also been linked to weight gain and poorly functioning immune systems.

Read the below 10 ways to improve your everyday sleep


1- Getting up & exercising early in the morning leads to healthy routine life.

2- Avoid chemicals like Caffeine, Alcohol, Nicotine.

3- Maintain a Pre-sleep routine (like book reading etc.)

4- Don't be a clock watcher at night time, this will increase your stress level.

5- Your room should have a sleep conductive environment, make sure it is clean & good ventilation system.

6- Try to take early nap or not at all in the whole day.

7- Intake enough fluid before some time you are going to sleep, this will keep you away from waking up thirsty at night time.

8- Must keep electronic items away from you at sleep time like mobile phones etc.

9- Must sleep on your right hand side, this is also helpful in avoiding bad dreams.

10- Don't use regular medication e.g. sleeping pills, because it has many bad effects like dizziness, constipation, headaches, heartburn etc.

You may also use warm bath and relaxation massage for improvement in your sleeping routine. Try to maintain emotional balance in your life, anger grief & happiness are part of life, but don't let to put any emotion overwhelmingly upon yourself.
